Q:
What are the gear requirements?
A: Your skydiving rig must
be packed in-date with the Canadian 180-day reserve parachute repack
cycle. Your skydiving rig must also be equipped
with an AAD (Automatic Activation Device).
Q: Are gear rentals
available?

Q: Do I need a minimum number of jumps?
A: There is no minimum to be able to attend the event. You may jump as long as you are solo certified. An instructor checkout jump may be required to verify your jumping skills. If you already have an A-license or better, and your logbook and gear are in date, you will not require any coach
jumps. Please contact Nouvel-Air
for more information.
Q: I am experienced but haven't jumped
in a long time. Is this OK?
A: No problem! Nouvel-Air can do
refresher instruction and coach jumps at a very nominal rate. Please
contact
Nouvel-Air for more information.
Q:
What jump planes does Nouvel-Air use?
A: Four Jump Planes! A Twin
Otter and three Beech-18. Nouvel-Air just obtained a Twin
Otter for 2006, along with their Beech-18 jump planes. The
jump altitude is 13,000 feet. A Twin Otter
can hold up to 23 skydivers, and a Beech-18 can hold up to 13
skydivers. These planes are much larger than the typical Cessna flown at most
Canadian dropzones. As a result, all the planes combined Nouvel-Air can move
over a hundred
jumpers per hour during peak periods to jump altitude on back-to-back loads, much more than any
Canadian dropzone! Nouvel-Air has the capacity to hold a large
skydiving boogie, with capacity for many hundreds of jumps per day. Bring
all friends that you know!

Q: Is camping available on the dropzone? I want to
spend on jump tickets!
A: Yes! You can pitch a tent on site. Camping is free, as are
hot showers.
Q: Is drinking allowed?
A: Yes - only
AFTER operating hours.
We have BBQ and beer parties planned during this rainbow skydive boogie! Drinking on dropzone property
during operating hours is strictly forbidden. Drinking beer and
other alcoholic beverages are allowed at sunset after the last jump plane has
left the ground.
Q: My question hasn't been answered?
A: Please feel free to email info@rainbowskydive.com
to ask further questions about Rainbow Boogie. Also, www.nouvelair.ca has more
information about the dropzone. If you have dropzone-specific questions,
you may also contact Nouvel-Air.
